Now there was, not far from the place where they lay, a castle, called Doubting Castle, the owner whereof was Giant Despair.  Pilgrim’s Progress - John Bunyan.

Doubting Castle Now called Washington DC is controlled by the Giant Despair also called Barry Obama.

After 6 years of his failed economic policies people are feeling the despair of not having the security of the past, Home ownership is falling personal debt is raising and cost of living continues to climb. People spend more for less, and are forced to pay more than they make just to survive. People unemployed for several years have given up hope of finding a job.

After 6 years of his failed foreign policy, the world is a more dangerous place than before, war is breaking out from the Crimea to Syria, the Middle East is a tinderbox waiting for a small match to inflame the world, in our own country we must submit to improper search and seizure of property to be allowed by our government to travel. This is a “Bragging” point of his administration that relations have been “Reset” with the world, if reset mean surrender they are right.

After 6 years of his failed policy in Iraq he is sending in military troops; all 270 of them, 170 to secure “American Interests” and the Embassy, and 100 to provide Forward Mobil airfields (the statement was plural but 100 men can only provide 1 airfield). Yet he provides almost twice as many for the Embassy, something he should have done in Benghazi. Also by making the announcement of how many and what their mission is he has provided valuable information once again to the enemy.

After 6 years of Democrat control of the Senate, nothing is done, there is no budget, no controls of spending, money is worthless because of inflationary practices.

After 6 years of failure by the administration people have lost trust in the government and neither side wants to do the work of government but only help themselves. Any wonder why Eric Cantor lost the primary?

Despair causes apathy, a sense of feeling “What can I do anyway?” a feeling of being trapped with no way out. Apathy causes fear and fear a lashing out. We have a serious problem with voter turnout right now.

Now, a little before it was day, good Christian, as one half amazed, brake out into this passionate speech: What a fool, quoth he, am I, thus to lie in a stinking dungeon, when I may as well walk at liberty! I have a key in my bosom, called Promise, that will, I am persuaded, open any lock in Doubting Castle. Pilgrim’s Progress - John Bunyan.

We too have the Key to open the locks of Doubting Castle; it is the promise of the Constitution. Rule of Law, we need to hold our representatives accountable to it.

God Bless.

Just my thoughts for today.
